Watch the trailer for ‘A Splash of Love’

As Christmas draws to a close in July, Hallmark Channel is once again bringing viewers some summer love with the return of Summer Nights. The next movie to premiere in that lineup is “A Splash of Love.” The film, starring Rhiannon Fish and Benjamin Hollingsworth, debuts Saturday night.

The film will be a treat for fans longing for the return of summer movies, as well as those who really know the stars of the film, both of whom have starred in Hallmark movies in the past. Fish has previously appeared in “Journey of My Heart”, “The 27-Hour Day” and “You’re Bacon Me Crazy”, as well as the Hallmark Movies & Mysteries titles “Signed, Sealed, Delivered: The Vows We Have” . Made” and “Aurora Teagarden Mysteries: How to Con A Con.”

As for Hollingsworth, he was most notably featured in the Hallmark Channel movie ‘Love Under the Olive Tree’ as well as the Hallmark Movies & Mysteries title ‘A Godwink Christmas: Meant For Love’. He is also known for his role as Dan Brady in ‘Virgin River’.

Madeleine Kelders (“Love, Classified”) also plays the leading role.

So what can fans expect from the film? Let’s find out.

“Chloe (Fish) is halfway through her Ph.D. program in marine mammals (the study of whales) at one of Miami’s top universities,” reads a synopsis for the film. “She works long hours in the lab, but what she loves most is being on the water with the majestic creatures. But given her competitive field, she doesn’t get that opportunity as often as she would like.”

“At the top of her class, she is considering applying for a highly sought-after scholarship to fund the final two years of her PhD,” the synopsis continues. “Dr. Andrea Ware (Kelders), Chloe’s mentor, encourages her to go beyond their local waters. dr. Ware convinces her to expand her studies to whales in the Pacific Northwest, where she would gain more experience in the field and hopefully gain the confidence to apply for the scholarship. While there, Chloe meets a whale watching guide (Hollingsworth), and they soon find that they have a bond with more than just orcas.”

“A Splash of Love” airs Saturday, July 30 at 8 p.m. EDT on Hallmark Channel.
