The Samsung Odyssey G7 was first released in October 2020, making this one of the lowest prices we’ve seen since it was first released. At $500, this is one of the best deals you can find on the model right now. At the time of writing, it is not clear how long the offer will be available.
Odyssey G7 Gaming Monitor: Was $700, Now $500 at Amazon
This curved gaming monitor has a 27-inch LCD VA panel with a QHD resolution (2560 x 1440). Meanwhile, the gaming-focused monitor supports a maximum refresh rate of 240Hz, and as you’d expect, that includes support for a variable refresh rate. The G7 is both FreeSync Premium Pro certified and certified G-Sync compatible, so it plays well with video cards from both sides of the aisle.
The monitor is supported by Samsung’s QLED quantum dot-enhanced backlight technology. According to the specifications, the monitor can cover 95% of the DCI color space. The curved screen lives up to its name, with a very aggressive 1000R curvature. Officially, Samsung also supports HDR with the monitor, but it’s telling that the company doesn’t list DisplayHDR certification.
It can achieve 350 nits brightness with 600 peak brightness and has a low response time of 1 ms. For input, users have one HDMI 2.0 port and two DisplayPort 1.4 inputs. A USB hub is available with two USB ports and a 3.5mm audio jack for external peripherals. This deal is for the solid black edition with blue accents.
