Netflix Sets Up Live-Action ‘Assassin’s Creed’ Movie

Ubisoft

As part of the Ubisoft Forward presentation, it has been announced that Netflix and Ubisoft are teaming up for a live-action “Assassin’s Creed” TV series.

In addition, Ubisoft will release a mobile game “Assassin’s Creed” exclusively for Netflix subscribers on Android and iOS. Other details regarding the projects have not yet been disclosed.

This follows a previous 2016 live-action film adaptation from director Justin Kurzel and starring Michael Fassbender. That movie made $240.7 million from a $125 million budget, while the series’ reception was not good.

The game franchise remains a juggernaut and is one of the best-selling video game franchises of all time.
