GPG Advocaten offers high-quality professional legal services in all aspects of family law, wills and estates. The office also offers some criminal and labor law services.

Founded in 2021, GPG Lawyers is one of the newest law firms in the Canberra-Queanbeyan region. The three directors, Andrea Goldrick, Alicia Perst and Mark Gibbs, have each worked in other respected companies and government agencies and have seen what works and what doesn’t in the areas in which they operate.

“We are bringing together the lessons each of us has learned to provide quality, efficient and accurate legal advice in an effort to take the stress out of our clients’ involvement in the justice system,” said Ms Perst.

“This also applies to situations where many customers are already under significant stress, be it the breakdown of a relationship or the loss of a loved one.”

Andrea is a recognized specialist in family law and has over 20 years of experience in family law. Alicia and Mark have both worked in the public and private sectors. Alicia focuses on family law, estate planning and estate litigation, while Mark works in all areas of family law, domestic violence and some areas of criminal law. They all understand that people are looking for practical and workable solutions when navigating their legal issue.

“Our focus is always on the clients, their circumstances and their story,” says Ms. Perst.

“We bring care, craftsmanship and attention to every case. We are focused on the big picture without missing the finer details”.

The lawyers at GPG Advocaten understand that not every legal problem requires or should be lengthy and expensive legal proceedings. “We’re looking at alternative legal avenues to resolve cases,” Gibbs said.

“We pride ourselves on providing our customers with realistic, clear advice and tailor-made options to suit their specific circumstances.”

While we love to settle matters out of court so that the parties can move on with their lives, we do not shy away from the courtroom and will advocate vigorously and confidently for our clients when a lawsuit is needed,” he said.

The GPG Advocaten team prides itself on keeping abreast of the latest changes in the areas of law in which they operate.

Do you need advice on family property or parenting matters, wills and estate planning or estate administration after the death of a loved one?

GPG Advocaten works in all areas of family law and relationship law, including:

  • Property arrangements after divorce;
  • children and education matters;
  • Parting;
  • Binding financial agreements;
  • family violence orders;
  • Surrogacy and adoption.

“We also provide services in all areas of estate planning and estate litigation, including wills, permanent powers of attorney, permanent guardian appointments, advanced health care guidelines, elder abuse, estate administration and estate litigation, such as when someone is excluded from a will,” added Mrs. Perst.

What might surprise people is that GPG Advocaten offers free home and hospital visits to their elderly, sick and vulnerable clients. They are conveniently located on the London Circuit in the city, but are also happy to travel to areas outside the ACT, including Braidwood, the South Coast, rural areas of the South West Slopes and everything in between.

The firm’s networks in the wider professional community also allow them to refer their clients to accountants, financial planners, pension experts, psychologists and counselors, who often play important roles in family law and real estate matters.
