Released last month, Lune: Croissants all day, all night is an ode to the flaky, buttery glory of the croissant. The author of the book, pastry chef Kate Reid, runs the iconic Melbourne bakery with brother Cameron Reid.

The cookbook discusses how a croissant can be elevated to more than a simple breakfast pastry and made into breakfast, lunch and dinner (an exciting thought). The book also includes suggestions for what to do with leftovers, as well as some croissant recipes for special occasions. It also includes Reid’s first step-by-step guide to making perfect croissants (a topic we can probably trust her on).

At this intimate cookbook launch party—in the cozy, vintage cookbook-lined Books for Cooks—just 40 people will sample pastries and wines to match.

Reid has a fascinating background. She studied aerospace engineering before pursuing a career in Formula 1 racing. Drop by to hear Reid share her extraordinary journey and share her secrets to the perfect croissant.
