Ash falls from smoke-filled sky as Bolt Creek fire burns in Washington

Mandatory evacuations and road closures were ordered for Skykomish, Washington and surrounding areas as a result of the Bolt Creek Fire on Saturday, Sept. 10, according to wildfire officials. Video posted by Temple Voorhees, which he said was taken this Saturday in Monroe, shows thick smoke covering the sky and an ash-covered grill. Voorhees said it “literally rained ashes”. Smoke from the wildfire negatively impacted air quality in part of the state, according to the Washington Department of Ecology. Credit: Temple Voorhees via Storyful
