“But she seems happy with Pete now.”
For context: Amber and Ye date from 2008-2010. Amber previously said Kim was a factor in their breakup, but it didn’t stop there. In 2015, Kanye said he had to “take 30 showers before I could hang out with Kim” after dating Amber. In a series of tweets, Amber replied: “After all these years, I’ve never betrayed you… I’ll leave that to the Kartrashians to humiliate you when they’re done with you.”
Fast-forward to this week, and Amber was asked on TMZ’s It’s hard with Raquel Harper when she saw Kim-Ye’s divorce coming. She replied, “Of course.”
“I have my own — I don’t want to say ‘feelings’ to him because that sounds like it’s positive for Kanye — I have my own issues and feelings, how I feel about what our relationship was like.”
The host then pointed out that Amber and Kim have the same birthday – October 21. “I think you can be the same when it comes to birthdays, but we grew up completely different,” she replied. “I grew up poor in Philly, I had to fight and struggle. Her life was very privileged, with money and the fact that she was here in LA – which is cool.”
“I always hope the best for them. I’ve never had any bad feelings like ‘I hope they get divorced’ or ‘he’s getting his day.’ I was just happy in my marriage with Wiz [Khalifa], or even after I’ve just done my thing. I’ve never really thought about it much.”
“When they finally got a divorce, I was like, ‘mmm.’ However, she seems happy with Pete now,” she added.
