2022 British Open leaderboard: live coverage, golf scores today, Rory McIlroy scores in round 4 in St Andrews

The final round of the final major of the 2022 golf season has officially begun and it looks like we’re in for a great finish at the historic 150th Open Championship. With Rory McIlroy and Viktor Hovland in the lead and plenty of chasers, including Cameron Smith, Cameron Young, Scottie Scheffler and Dustin Johnson, Sunday’s last 18 holes at the Old Course in St Andrews could be an all-time finish.

McIlroy and Hovland will form the last couple on Sunday after the drama in the penultimate game of Saturday’s round. The two fired matching 6-under 66’s to go to 16 under, taking them four strokes off the field as the co-leaders. McIlroy is looking for a second Claret Jug — and his first major since 2014 — as he tries to hold off a potential first major winner in Hovland, along with a handful of strong competitors all within six strokes of the top.

With a star-studded field atop the leaderboard, St. Andrews as a historic backdrop, and the pressure that comes with it being the last major of the year, the 150th Open is already one to remember. CBS Sports will update this story with scores and highlights below.
